Construction Manager – Role Overview:
A leading construction and development organisation is seeking a Construction Manager to join its buildings team on a major project in central Cambridge. This full‑time, permanent role involves coordinatingplex construction activities, managing multiple trade contractors, and supporting the successful delivery of a high‑valuemercial scheme.
What you’ll do:
1. Manage trade contractors across working drawings, procurement, prefabrication, and on‑site performance.
2. Oversee subcontractors, labour and material planning, supporting Project Managers with both on‑site and off‑site activities.
3. Coordinate build and MEP trades to ensure efficient sequencing and safe delivery.
4. Resolve site issues proactively, reporting defects, identifying improvements, and refining construction methodologies.
5. Support the design process by working with design teams to align production information with site requirements and cost constraints.
What you’ll bring:
6. Proven experience in construction management on majormercial building projects.
7. Strong background in managing multiple trade contractors acrossplex work fronts.
8. Experience with internal packages or façade works (preferred).
9. Ability to lead collaborative planning and coordination sessions between trade contractors.
10. Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
