Full Time and Part Time opportunities available within our medical and surgical areas – please specify in your supporting statement your specialty preference.
To work as the registered nurse in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Act on any concerns raised, relating to standards of cleanliness, hazards and patient safety within the clinical area.
* Ensure the nursing and medical team are regularly updated on patients' condition and progress.
* Ensure equipment is clean and in good working order and that damaged or faulty equipment is reported correctly.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
* Participate in induction of staff new to the clinical area.
* Minimise hazards in the working area and report any identifiable hazards to the ward sister. Adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the work area.
* Demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, to ensure dissemination of information.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Promote awareness of child protection issues and attend training in accordance with policy.
* Promote awareness of adult protection issues and attend training in accordance with the policies and procedures.
