Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) secondary schools in Eastleigh. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
About the Role
* Support students with SEMH needs in a secondary school setting.
* Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access learning and develop social skills.
* Assist class teachers in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
* Provide behavioural and pastoral support as needed.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred but not essential).
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
* Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
