Salaried GP - General Practitioner (6 months fixed term)
As a GP with Affinity Care, you will be actingwithin your professional boundaries to support our communities.
You will provide care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatmentand evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making andexpert care, including assessment/diagnostic skills, for patients withinGP. You will work collaboratively with the Practice teamto meet patient needs, whilst supporting the delivery of policy andprocedures.
You will assess, diagnose, plan,implement, and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presentingwith an undifferentiated diagnosis, both physiologically and psychologically.
Sometimes you will be working withchronic conditions, sometimes acute, but at all times you will beproviding the highest standard of patient care, with a supportive team aroundyou, driving the best possible outcome.
Main duties of the job
You will be a fully qualified and registered GP, having maintained your position on a performer's list, a memberof a recognised defence union (MPS/MDU) with a vocational training certificateor equivalent.
You will work with our patientsto drive the best outcome, encouraging healthy lifestyles and positive self-carein line with evidence-based practice, national/practice protocols, andwithin the scope of practice.
You will abide by professional standardsas regulated by the GMC and relevant legislation, NSF andNICE guidelines, and any other relevant bodies.
You will contribute to team discussionsand constructively challenge, helpingdevelop cohesive practice teams,sharing best practice and innovation.
Undertake learning and communicate withus about your needs and clinical interests; we want to build your capabilityand develop your passions.
Adhere to infection control SOPs, respectpatients' and colleagues' innate dignity, and safeguard the vulnerable

Job responsibilities
There is an opportunity for a Salaried GP to work within Affinity Care on a temporary basis. The postholder, acting within theirprofessional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient frominitial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluationof care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care,including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the generalpractice. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meetthe needs of patients, whilst supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.

Qualifications
* Qualified GP and full registration
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP)
* Member of recognised defence union (MPS/MDU)
* Currently on performers' list
* Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
* Never been removed from a performers' list
Experience
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
* Understanding of clinical Governance and quality issues, as well as health and social policy.
* Competent in the use of GP clinical IT systems.
* Ability to listen and empathise.
* Good time management.
