We are looking for Financial Controller freelance support for DDB Remedy London. Freelance contract will be about 1-2 months. Candidates need to be based in the UK and be able to come to the office at least 1-2 a week. As Financial Controller at DDB Remedy, you'll be at the forefront of managing the agency’s financial health. Reporting to the CFO, you'll oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and provide critical insights that influence key business decisions.

With your professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), you possess a deep understanding of financial processes, reporting, and compliance, and have a proven track record of managing financial systems, budgets, and forecasts with precision.

Oversee all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.
Track performance against budget and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis and actionable insights.
Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend strategies to maximize profitability.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and other regulatory submissions.
Work with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
Monitor and enforce compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant industry standards.
Management of Financial Systems
Oversee and maintain financial systems and software to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data.
Evaluate and improve internal financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to ensure financial information is understood and acted upon.
Collaborate with project managers and department heads to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Identify cost-saving initiatives and opportunities to improve the financial performance of the agency.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Reporting
Provide financial analysis for key business decisions, including investment opportunities, client profitability, and operational efficiency.
Develop financial models to support business development, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Extensive experience in financial management, ideally within an advertising, creative, or healthcare-related industry.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
Experience with regulatory requirements
Strong business acumen and ability to provide strategic financial insights.
