Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
* Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
* Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience.
* Upsell food and beverage items to maximize sales opportunities.
* Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of presentation.
* Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
* Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
* Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely order fulfillment.
Skills
* Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightclub settings.
* Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
* Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
* Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
* Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
* Culinary experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
