Freedom’s Major Projects team has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to take ownership of construction delivery for a major 132kV project, including substation and underground cable works.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
* Plan and oversee safe delivery of construction works in line with Freedom and client standards.
* Manage project construction programme and report progress.
* Implement quality management processes on site (ITPs, documentation, inspections).
* Interpret engineering drawings and resolve queries with project teams.
* Coordinate with Project Manager, Engineering, and Commercial teams to manage risks and issues.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
* Motivate and manage Freedom and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality work.
* Resource planning and coordination for internal and external teams.
* Prepare and check key safety documentation (CPP, RAMS, permits).
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience delivering EHV/HV construction schemes at 132/66kV (ICP, Private Networks, or DNO preferred).
* Civils or electrical bias with multi-discipline experience.
* SMSTS and appropriate CSCS/ECS card.
* CDM 2015 competency.
* IOSH and Streetworks NRSWA (desirable).
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
