About the Role Are you ready to do something different with your clinical skills? We’re recruiting qualified Nurses to join our client as Nurse Assessors in Hitchin. This hybrid role offers a mix of home working and onsite assessments at your local consultation centre. Applications are also welcomed from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. This is a non-treatment assessment role, supporting DWP decision-makers by carrying out functional assessments to understand how conditions impact daily life. Full training is provided. What You’ll Do Conduct telephone, video, or face‑to‑face functional assessments in a supportive, non‑clinical environment Gather and evaluate information on the impact of various health conditions Review medical evidence and supporting documentation Produce clear, structured clinical reports for the DWP What You’ll Need Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience as a Nurse, OT or Physio Current NMC or HCPC registration Strong communication and IT skills Ability to produce accurate, well-structured reports What’s on Offer Salary: £43,000 Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (no nights, weekends or bank holidays) Hybrid working: Minimum 2 days per week in the Hitchin assessment centre Benefits Include: 25 days annual leave bank holidays (option to buy extra) Pension (up to 6% employer contribution) Health & wellbeing support Retail and leisure discounts Paid volunteering day Full training and development programme Is This Role for You?
