We’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Assistant General Manager to lead our amazing Watford team to even greater heights!
🎯 Your Mission
As the Assistant General Manager, you'll report into the General Manager and oversee a team of 3-5 duty managers and approximately 40–50 team members. Your role is to support the General Manager in leading the park’s daily operations while ensuring a safe, fun and unforgettable guest experience.

✅ Key Measures of Success
1. Customer Experience – Deliver top-tier guest satisfaction across general visits, parties and special events. Continuously improve feedback scores and NPS performance
2. Targets & Commercial Performance – Hit revenue targets via memberships, upsells, parties/events, guest numbers and operational cost control
3. Health & Safety & Compliance – Ensure complete compliance with SOPs, H&S policies, audits, training and incident response
4. Strategic Leadership – Collaborate with the General Manager to lead the wider team, find solutions to problems and drive the long-term vision and strategy for the park
📋 Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and energise the managers, supervisors and park team
* Drive all aspects of daily operations including park opening/closing, team briefs, and service standards
* Be hands-on and present during peak times and events
* Partner with the General Manager to recruit, train and performance-manage your team and in the absence of the GM take the lead.
* Take responsibility for the park in the absence of the General Manager ensuring full handovers take place before GM absence.
* Ensure safety is always prioritised — for guests and staff alike
* Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and all facility operations
* Be a great communicator across guests and teams
* Assist and support the GM in handling HR responsibilities such as team attendance, conduct and wellbeing
* Support the GM to deliver on business goals and use commercial awareness to continually look for new revenue opportunities
* Be a champion of guest service and go above and beyond to “wow”
* Lead your team through performance reviews, feedback sessions and everyday motivation
* Represent the park in the local community and within the Flip Out UK network
🧠 Qualifications & Skills
* Management experience in leisure, hospitality or a similar high-energy busy setting
* First aid at work (3 day) certification preferred but not essential
* People management and coaching skills to develop the team
* Strong understanding of health & safety and risk management
* Knowledge of HR processes and team development
* Commercial awareness and financial understanding
* Basic IT and administrative skills including scheduling, reporting, use of communication tools, basic Excel, and professional email etiquette
⏱️ Working Conditions
* 5-day work week including weekends
* Fridays to Sundays and school holidays are peak periods (holiday requests are granted outside these peak periods)
* Based on-site full-time at Flip Out Watford
* Training and dedicated support provided and essential tools given to help you succeed, guidance from the franchise owner and training from regional manager provided Performance-based bonus opportunity – Take ownership of KPIs and financial targets, with a structured bonus scheme rewarding success and overachievement Salary up to £29,000 per annum (DOE)
