About the opportunity
We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, Airblast, a market leader in the supply of surface preparation and finishing machinery. With over 40 years of industry expertise, they support a wide range of customers across industrial manufacturing, engineering, automotive, construction, and more.
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Support professional to join their front-office sales team, focusing on spray equipment while also supporting general sales across the business. You’ll work with a mix of small independent contractors, specialist engineers, and walk-in customers — providing product guidance, taking orders, and generating new business through outbound calling from an established database.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a technical mindset who enjoys supporting customers and driving commercial results within a well-established engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* Make proactive outbound calls to generate new business from an existing prospect database
* Handle incoming sales enquiries via phone, email, and walk-in customers
* Identify and specify correct spray parts and equipment based on customer needs
* Build strong working relationships with small business customers and repeat trade accounts
* Support with general blasting and servicing enquiries when required
* Create quotations and sales orders using internal systems
* Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure communications are logged promptly
* Work collaboratively with the small and friendly onsite team to achieve targets
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following
* Minimum 1 year of sales, telesales, or phone-based customer contact experience
* Technical aptitude — ideally understanding of spray/blast equipment or similar machinery however candidates from a technical or engineering background will be considered
* Confident communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the drive to seek new business
* Strong organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
* IT literacy and experience updating CRM/order systems
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Candidates without direct industry knowledge but with strong energy, confidence, and willingness to learn will also be considered.
In return we are offering
* £27,000 – £32,000 salary, depending on experience
* Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (office-based)
