As a Solar Electrician, you’ll be on the frontlines of installing and commissioning solar PV systems in residential mostly and sometimes commercial settings, You’ll combine technical know-how with an eco-conscious mindset to deliver safe, reliable, and future-proof energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
● Install and wire solar photovoltaic (PV) systems (including inverters, battery storage
● Wire ASHP systems and ventilation measures
● Conduct electrical assessments prior to installation
● Configure and troubleshoot DC and AC circuits, ensuring full system functionality
● Liaise with clients, project managers, and fellow installers to meet deadlines
● Ensure all work complies with BS7671 wiring regulations and MCS installation standards
Requirements:
● NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
● 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
● Solar PV Qualification
● Experience working with solar PV systems
● Experience working with ASHP systems
● Genuinely passionate about renewable energy and sustainable technology
● Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to work under pressure
● Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
● ECS/CSCS card (preferred)
Annual salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, paid PAYE monthly, with 30 days holiday (including bank), long-service holiday incentives and our pension scheme.
This role will be field based, full time 40 hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, with 30 minute lunch.
Travel time is paid outside of your core hours, at £12.21 per hour, with 30 minute ‘commute’ deducted each way.
Flexibility towards the business needs is required along with Saturday working, on a rota basis (one in three), paid as overtime.
