Primary Cover Supervisor
Location: Thanet, Kent
Salary: £100 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

You will be working within a variety of welcoming and well-regarded primary schools located across the Thanet area. Every Primary Cover Supervisor we hire will be responsible for supervising whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pre-planned lessons are delivered effectively and that pupils remain engaged and on task.

The successful Primary Cover Supervisor will be an integral part of the school community, working alongside dedicated teaching staff to maintain continuity in learning and a positive classroom environment. Whether you are supporting infants in KS1 or juniors in KS2, every Primary Cover Supervisor we represent plays a vital role in the daily success of the school.
As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to:
* Supervise whole classes across both KS1 and KS2 during the short-term absence of the class teacher.
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons effectively, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
* Provide constructive feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and engagement during the session.
* Support pupils with their learning, answering questions and providing guidance as needed.
To be considered for this Primary Cover Supervisor role, the candidate must:
* Have experience working with children in a UK primary school setting (ideally across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).
* Possess strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class independently.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be adaptable, reliable, and able to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks.
* Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
