About the Role:
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and occasionally Key Stage 5), ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of permanent staff. Assignments can range from daily cover to longer-term placements, depending on your availability and preferences.
You will be expected to quickly establish a positive classroom presence, manage behaviour effectively, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons across your subject specialism or general cover
Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities available)
Follow school lesson plans and ensure learning objectives are achieved
Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies
Adapt to different classroom settings, student abilities, and school expectations
Provide feedback to departments where required
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

Who We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
Strong behaviour management and classroom control
Confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel across Tameside
