Overview

As our Night Manager you will manage and lead the night team to keep everything running while the rest of the world sleeps, ensuring we deliver the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments, while ensuring the store remains safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor during the night shift, ensuring delivery is completed, waste and returns are managed correctly, and replenishment limits damage.
* Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards, creating a culture of selling with personality, serving with heart and pride, and adding one more item to every basket.
* Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team, including promotion, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
* Develop talent by listening with empathy, driving resilience, encouraging ownership, focus and passion, supporting team development, and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated.
* Make independent decisions with a hands‑on attitude, drive process and people improvement, and manage change effectively.
Qualifications
* Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
* Strong customer service focus.
* Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
* Ability to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
