What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Administrator - PCN Team REF: Merton 5269905 Pay rate: £17.27 per hour PAYE The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an Administrator to work within a Penalty Charge Notice environment (please note this is not a standard admin role). The role involves working specifically within the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) process, supporting the delivery of effective and fair traffic and parking enforcement across the borough. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with traffic regulations by administering PCNs, responding to appeals, and working in line with statutory procedures and local authority policies. Key Responsibilities may include: Process Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) in accordance with legislative requirements and internal procedures. Review, log, and respond to correspondence from members of the public, legal representatives, and enforcement agents relating to PCNs. Accurately update and maintain case records using relevant software systems. Assist with the administration of challenges, representations, and appeals, including liaising with the Traffic Penalty Tribunal (TPT) and London Tribunals where applicable. Produce accurate documentation for enforcement and recovery stages. Ensure data protection, confidentiality, and customer service standards are upheld at all times. What the client is looking for: Previous experience in a similar administrative or enforcement role (experience in a PCN or local government environment is essential Ability to work accurately under pressure with a strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems Understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with legal frameworks.
