About the Role
This Speech and Language Therapist position is based at Bowersgate School, a purpose-built, brand-new specialist school for 72 pupils aged 6–16 with a wide range of needs, including autism and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities
* Support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
* Conduct clinical assessment and formulation to design and deliver individualised interventions for young people with complex needs.
* Provide supervision and ongoing support to multidisciplinary team members.
* Act as a trainer and role model, guiding staff in best practice delivery.
* Maintain high organisational standards and initiative in all practice areas.
* Collaborate closely with the wider clinical team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
* Proven experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
* Experience supporting teams around a child or young person to provide clinically informed environments.
* Strong communication and leadership skills; confident, engaging, and effective trainer.
* Highly organised, proactive and ready to take initiative.
