Were looking for a hands-onMechanical Technicianto join our busy fresh produce production site at London Gateway in Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone whos keen to get stuck in and grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. Although it is a standalone role, you will be working closely with production teams, youll help drive performance through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
What youll be doing:
1. Carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance on conveyor belts and other production equipment
2. Responding to breakdowns and working quickly to get things back up and running
3. Working closely with the production teams to keep everything running smoothly
4. Supporting other day-to-day facilities maintenance across the site, to include:
5. Fire alarms, extinguishers, and burglar alarms
6. HVAC systems
7. Electrical systems (lighting, CCTV, main supply, portables)
