An outstanding specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs based in Oxford is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with behaviour and mental health issues. Ideally, the Graduate will have qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology, but other subjects will also be considered. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. The SEN School is in Oxford, and the role is full-time starting ASAP. The SEN children are aged 4 to 11 and require consistent, ongoing support to ensure they receive high-quality, child-centred care. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Graduates in related fields will also be considered.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for Psychology Graduates to work alongside therapists and psychologists on-site. You will be mentored, shadow sessions, and learn from professionals. You will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This role is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
The SEMH School seeks a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to use their initiative. Resilience and confidence in working with challenging behaviour are desirable qualities.

The children in this school have varying needs, predominantly SEMH. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting, including personal experience such as with family. Level 3 qualifications+ are required, and a Degree is highly desirable.
