Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm daily (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
We are looking to appoint a caring, organised and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Woodchurch CEP School.
This rewarding role involves leading targeted interventions for individuals and small groups across KS1 and KS2, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Working closely with class teachers, the Inclusion Team and external professionals, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ cognitive development, confidence and independence through tailored intervention programmes and adaptive learning support.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is organised and able to manage and follow a structured timetable
2. Can work independently and use their own initiative
3. Has experience supporting primary-aged children
4. Can adapt plans, resources and learning activities to meet individual needs
5. Is confident delivering interventions to individuals and small groups
6. Is computer literate and confident using technology to support learning
7. Has strong communication skills and can liaise effectively with professionals, teachers and support staff
8. Is patient, positive, flexible and committed to inclusive practice
9. Can build supportive relationships with pupils to promote confidence and emotional wellbeing
10. Strong subject knowledge across both keystages.
The role will include:
11. Delivering targeted intervention programmes across KS1 and KS2
12. Supporting pupils with cognition and learning needs
13. Adapting and creating bespoke learning resources
14. Supporting pupil progress through structured and engaging activities
15. Maintaining records and contributing to pupil reviews and meetings
16. Working collaboratively with school staff and outside agencies
17. Supporting the school’s nurturing and inclusive ethos
