The Role
As a Solutions Architect / Senior Systems Coordinator, you will play a key role at the intersection of consultancy and software development, designing and delivering technical solutions built on top of standard software configurations.
Working closely with the Facilities Management (FM) team and the wider business, you will translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions. While stakeholder engagement is central to the role, you will also take ownership of the hands-on development, including coding, integrations, and system enhancements.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will:

Engage directly with customers and lead workshops to understand business requirements

Translate requirements into clear, detailed technical specifications and delivery estimates
*
Design, develop, and deliver custom solutions within Planon’s API framework
*
Lead solution development, including hands-on coding and integrations
*
Provide technical support to the FM Systems team, including testing and debugging Java code
*
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including specifications and user guides
*
Build and maintain a repository of standardised custom solutions and documentation
*
Become a subject-matter expert in FM systems and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a customer-centric approach

Essential:

Proven experience as a Java Developer or in a similar technical role

Strong experience translating client requirements into technical specifications

Experience with JavaScript

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to influence stakeholders and align differing priorities

Proactive, innovative, and a strong team player
Desirable:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT & Management, or a related field

Planon System Administration experience or experience with CAFM tools
*
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
