£15 – £18 per hour depending on experience (£31.2k – £37.4k FTE based on 40 hours)
DC Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our client’s Finance team based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to play a key role in ensuring financial compliance and supporting business performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, providing regular updates on financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement financial strategies to improve cost control and optimise resource allocation
•Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping
•Prepare monthly management accounts, including supporting reconciliations
•Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate financial records
•Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to provide insights into financial performance
•Review financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement
•Collaborate with other departments to support organisational objectives through effective financial planning
•Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment that supports professional development
Requirements:
•Essential knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software
•Strong Excel skills with experience in reporting
•Experience and knowledge of payroll
•Proven experience across daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•A positive, proactive approach to work
•A strong team player with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
