Job Description
Salary: Competitive
Shift Patterns: 5 over 7
The Role:
It is essential to possess administrative skills. Key responsibilities include:
* Complete management of a team of warehouse colleagues, including holidays, timekeeping and training.
* Working closely with all departments, creating a team ethos.
* Maintaining and driving current H&S standards.
* Ensuring warehouse processes are always followed.
* Proactively manage and challenge the warehouse team, using kpi data.
* Liaising with other Shift Managers and providing a comprehensive daily handover document.
* Work closely with and be an extension of the Operations Manager.
* Attend daily meetings and conference calls with internal and external colleagues.
* Conducting Improving Behaviour at Work meetings as and when required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
* Be flexible to amend and cover different shift patterns (holiday/sickness cover etc)
The person:
* Excellent attention to detail with a can do attitude.
* Experience of managing a team of people.
* Ability to build relationships with other departments within the network.
* Ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to work closely as part of a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to take on and learn new roles and responsibilities.
* Good people skills.
* Self-motivated.
Training will be given to the right individual.
