CAD/CAM Programmer - SigmaNEST Software
Jacquet UK Ltd are a leading supplier of stainless steel and nickel alloy precision cut parts from our purpose-built facility at Tankersley, Barnsley, offering a range of cutting facilities including Laser, Plasma, Waterjet and Sawn. Due to a planned expansion of the business, we are looking for a driven, proactive, enthusiastic individual to join our CAD team.
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of the CAD drawing process, CNC nesting and programming for cutting.
Core Responsibilities
* Carry out all aspects of the CAD drawing process to include drawing, modifying and converting CAD files into a usable format for laser/plasma/waterjet cutting.
* Nesting and programming for laser, plasma and waterjet cutting machines, utilizing SigmaNEST software.
* Provide technical advice and assistance to the production team and customers to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and on time.
* Assist the Sales Team with the preparation of quotations as and when required.
* Liaise with team members, customers and suppliers to resolve queries.
* Liaise with Warehouse Manager and ensure all information is handed over in a timely manner to maximise production output.
Peripheral Duties
* A professional attitude at all times for interacting with team members, customers and suppliers.
* Adhere to the company requirements for the management of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
* Participate in all training specific to the post holder's duties.
* Undertake any other duties as maybe reasonably requested by senior management.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience of working with SigmaNEST software preferred.
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a metal profile cutting/ fabrication environment.
* A strong knowledge/experience of CNC cutting and programming and associated manufacturing processes.
