This is a really exciting opportunity to work in an award winning procurement team, supporting the function and business across their indirect spend portfolio. The business has a reputable brand we all know and use their products and services, being highly regarded in their industry, so are looking for an ambitious, dynamic and high achieving Procurement Manager. You will be joining at an exciting time of growth, new ways of how procurement approach things and as they modernise certain areas of operation to keep carbon footprint as low as possible.
You will be exposed to a large variety of indirect spend, such as: IT, Telecoms, FM, Professional Services, Marketing, EV Charging Ports, Fleet, HR to name a few.
Due to the variety, they need someone who can take on different categories, juggling multiple projects and dealing with stakeholders across the business.
Role and responsibilities:
* Reporting into and supporting the Group Head of Procurement
* Work with and manage internal stakeholders in the business, building strong and lasting relationships
* Manage multiple projects at once, whether strategically, project based or reactively
* Drive for best commercial value with suppliers but keeping in mind the best service delivery into the company
* Being able to handle and adapt to a very fast pace ever changing environment
* Conduct full end to end procurement from initial engagement, right through to contract signature and on-going SRM
* Continuously look to, and suggest policy and process improvements across the team
* Create your own opportunities, having that proactive and forward thinking approach
* Identify and present cost saving, or service improvements to key stakeholders
Experience and requirements:
* Broad experience across generalist indirect categories
* Full cradle to crave, end-to-end procurement examples across different areas of spend
* Proven cost savings and improvements made in previous roles
* Worked in a fast paced, large business that have large spend values
* Ability to engage, manage and influence senior level stakeholders
* Strategic mindset to procurement,
* Highly ambitious, always looking for the next project or reasonably take on more work
* Adaptable to change and being able to manage your time accordingly
* Strategic mindset, forward thinking and analytical approach
* Able to work as part of a team, but also able to work autonomously on projects
* MCIPS is ideal, but not essential
