Overview
Job summary: Band 6 practitioner in the Complex Emotional Needs Service covering three London Boroughs — Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham. This service supports individuals experiencing emotional instability and relationship difficulties who need a specialist Tier 3 service.
This post will be open to people from a range of disciplines within the mental health care professions including social workers, nurses and OT's. Significant experience of working with adults with mental health needs in the community is required; experience with complex emotional needs and SCM, DBT or MBT training is desirable.

Main duties
The role focuses on clinical work and involves developing the service in collaboration with the Band 7 Senior Practitioner and the Team Manager to ensure efficient running of the clinical team. You will support developing interfaces with multiple services and stakeholders, work with the MINT teams to provide a consultative role with clients with CEN, and support interventions and sign posting.
You will contribute to effective and compassionate service development for mental health, shaping services according to population-based needs. You will contribute to planning and delivery of service objectives, managing specific change projects as required, ensuring client focus, consistency, quality and cost effectiveness.
As the Band 6 practitioner you will screen and assess referrals for the CEN, liaise with referrers, and provide comprehensive assessments and formulations. The role provides a consultative function to other services and involves working alongside the Mental Health Integrated Network Teams (MINT) with a caseload of clients within CEN.

Qualifications
* Essential: Educated to degree/diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
* Essential: Core Mental Health Profession registered with an appropriate professional body (e.g., NMC, UKCP, HCPC or Social Work England).
* Essential: Clinical/postgraduate management qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level.
* Desirable: Qualification or equivalent experience in SCM, MBT practitioner level or DBT accreditation or a willingness to train.
