Job Description
Key Responsibilities:Finance Operations
3. Support the day-to-day running of finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
4. Maintain financial data integrity across systems including Sage and internal reporting tools
5. Identify and support improvements to finance processes and workflows
Accounts Payable & Expenses
6. Process supplier invoices and expense claims
7. Maintain the Purchase Order (PO) log and perform invoice matching
8. Manage Pleo and company credit card transactions
9. Ensure accurate coding to cost centres and accounts
Payments & Cash Flow
10. Prepare and manage supplier payment runs
11. Maintain and update cash flow forecasts
12. Ensure payments are made accurately and on time
Reconciliations & Controls
13. Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
14. Investigate and resolve discrepancies
15. Maintain accurate ledgers and control accounts
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
16. Raise and issue client invoices
17. Monitor aged debt and follow up on overdue balances
18. Handle customer queries and maintain strong relationships
Reporting & Compliance
19. Support VAT return preparation and reconciliations
20. Assist with cost centre reporting and financial analysis
21. Contribute to supplier rebate calculations and reporting
Additional Responsibilities
22. Liaise with external payroll providers
23. Provide cover for incentive payment processes
24. Support finance system and process improvement initiatives
The Successful Applicant
About You
25. Experience in a finance role with exposure to transactional finance and/or operations
26. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
27. Experience using accounting systems (Sage preferred)
28. Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
29. Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach
