Program Manager – Bristol - Defence Engineering
Recruitment focus: Matchtech; role involves leading a high-impact Defence engineering delivery programme within a MOD context, driving strategy, execution, and commercial leadership in a regulated environment.

Security Clearance: Minimum SC (or eligible)
Responsibilities
* Lead a £100M+ defence engineering development programme, delivering on time, within budget, and with exceptional quality.
* Steer strategic planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.
* Drive continuous improvement and commercial success across the programme.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven leadership of complex engineering projects in Defence or similarly regulated sectors
* Experience managing large, multi-project programmes with integrated schedules and risk-adjusted planning
* Strong commercial acumen, adept at managing supplier relationships and navigating challenges without blame
* Practical problem-solving skills with a track record of correcting projects that have gone off baseline
* Familiarity with Defence sector nuances
* Comfortable with detailed financial and progress reporting (EV, risk reviews, month-end reports)
* A calm, composed leader with a pragmatic, innovative approach and a genuine team focus
