An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This challenging yet rewarding role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The role includes overseeing credit-related activities such as risk management, developing and implementing credit policies, and managing the team. This is an office-based role at our Head Office in Shirley, close to the M42.
The successful candidate will:
* Have prior experience working within a busy credit control team,
* Have strong financial understanding,
* Possess problem-solving skills,
* Be confident in leading a team,
* Be self-motivated and driven,
* Have excellent communication skills, as the person will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the company's credit function.
Key tasks will include:
* Being the lead contact with Credit Insurers, monitoring insured limits, submitting claims promptly, assisting in renewal negotiations,
* Organising and leading monthly meetings with senior management,
* Providing management information to the senior team on debt metrics, collections, and other reports,
* Managing cash collection for all group companies,
* Ensuring departmental systems and protocols are efficient and well-policed,
* Overseeing the Credit Control Department and managing the team proactively,
* Processing all group credit applications and PODs,
* Handling major or sensitive credit decisions,
* Controlling credit limits,
* Managing litigation, insolvency practitioners, and pursuing claims,
* Setting credit policies to meet goals and managing credit notes,
* Conducting risk assessments for existing and new credit applicants,
* Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders,
* Reviewing Terms and Conditions for sales,
* Visiting customers and company sites as needed.
