Job description Occupational Therapist – West Midlands SEN Schools (Dudley, Wolverhampton & Stoke) We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a multi-disciplinary Therapeutic Team across five SEN schools in the West Midlands. This full-time, term-time role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract and provides an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as neurodiverse conditions such as ASD. Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include: Delivering evidence-based, psychologically informed occupational therapy interventions for children and young people. Conducting OT assessments to identify individual needs and designing individualised and group-based intervention programmes. Providing specialist OT advice and guidance for behaviour plans, teaching plans, risk assessments, and EHCPs. Developing, delivering, and evaluating therapeutic training for education staff. Using outcome and evaluation tools to measure intervention effectiveness and reporting findings to senior management. Providing specialist OT knowledge and guidance through consultation with colleagues. Attending team meetings, CPD days, and contributing to service development initiatives.
