To actively lead, manage and motivate teams to deliver customer and business projects, including research resource requests, to agreed cost, time, quality and expectations. To manage a portfolio of projects and balance the delivery against the needs of the business.
To bring clarity, optimal organisation and attention to detail to project management, service delivery and account management. You may also be required to support pre-sales activities. Throughout, it is critical to maintain positive stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, and ensure that the Nexor brand is recognised as one of proactive support and quality.
Skillset
Demonstrable evidence of suitable qualifications and experience i.e. Portfolio / Programme / Project Management | Management of Risk | Change Management.
Professional attitude with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and the ability to calmly and resolutely deal with stressful situations with competing clients, projects and demands.
A problem-solving mindset with the can-do experience to resolve or elevate as the situation demands.
Organised with a keen attention to detail and an ability to instil that structure to expert, demanding teams.
Team player with the ability to own tasks to conclusion.
A quick learner who can assimilate and become proficient in new processes and tools in rapid time, with the confidence to become a change champion for new ways of working.
Understands security and can manage the implementation of a Secure by Design (or similar) roadmap for a project or programme.
A high degree of IT literacy with a focus on Office 365, Atlassian products and other typical project management toolsets.
Ability to make commercially sound decisions related to project delivery.
A solid grounding in risk management and risk-based decision making to proactively manage projects, issues and risks in a controlled and professional manner, instilling confidence in project members, customers and other stakeholders and adopting the correct tone in communicating those matters.
Experience in both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead the delivery of assigned portfolio of projects.
Understand and execute projects in accordance with Nexor policies and procedures.
Conduct day-to-day management of assigned projects, including:
Scope and schedule management;
Risk and issue management;
Finance and cost control management;
Resource, project team, third party, customer and stakeholder management.
Provide regular project status updates within Nexor (project team and other stakeholders) and to prime contractor/customer.
Ensure that all project records are kept up to date and completed in a timely manner.
Manage and escalated, where appropriate, to management and stakeholders, any issues which could impact delivery time, budget or quality; identifying and presenting alternative solutions.
Identify lessons learned and contribute to the improvement of Nexor’s processes and procedures.
Build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the Business in order to deliver successful projects.
Delivery Management
Build and maintain positive customer relationships, maintaining an ongoing dialogue and reinforcing the quality brand of Nexor.
Ensure customer acceptance and sign-off for deliverables and acceptance of project completion.
Define and manage any sub-contractor/third-party supplier input into projects to achieve optimum outcomes.
Coordinate Nexor’s input into prime contractor/customer technical management meetings and activities.
Ensure the timely production and delivery of all customer products.
Account Management
Maintain and build positive, long term customer relationships.
Use those relationships to identify opportunities that require sales or services effort and provide feedback to the Head of Sales/Head of Services, whilst retaining a direct relationship with the customer.
Provide portfolio level meaningful insights and evidence to inform Nexor business needs, objectives, KPI, outputs and outcomes.
Constraints
May be required to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines and travel to customer site.
