Responsibilities * Provide in-class support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs throughout the school day. * Help maintain predictable classroom routines so pupils feel settled and ready to learn. * Follow individual support plans and use calm, consistent strategies to support regulation and behaviour. * Work 1 to 1 and with small groups within the classroom to support engagement, confidence, and wellbeing. * Share observations with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support joined-up decision making. * Model positive behaviour and support healthy relationships within the classroom environment. Requirements * At least 6 months’ classroom-based experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional needs. * Experience working in a school setting, supporting learning and behaviour during lessons and structured activities. * A calm, consistent approach and the ability to build trust with pupils over time. * Confidence supporting pupils both individually and in small groups within a classroom. * Willingness to follow school guidance around behaviour support, regulation strategies, and safeguarding. * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
