About the Role
We are recruiting for a Technical Service Manager (TSM) to oversee the delivery of building services across multiple educational facilities in the Rochdale area. Working for a nationally recognised and respected service provider, this is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining compliance, performance standards, and customer satisfaction across two local school contracts.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the technical delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple school sites.

Provide expert guidance in mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient solutions.
*
Oversee a team of on-site engineers, ensuring performance standards, compliance, and best practice in all aspects of building services.
*
Monitor service delivery KPIs and drive continuous improvement in both technical and customer service outcomes.
*
Maintain strong client relationships with key education stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and issue resolution.
*
Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Support in audits, compliance checks, and technical assessments across all locations.
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience in a similar Facilities Management / Building Services leadership role.
*
Strong technical background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) and fabric maintenance.
*
Confident managing PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within high-footfall environments (education sector preferred).
*
Sound knowledge of compliance regulations, building standards, and H&S requirements.
*
Experience managing a team of multi-skilled engineers.
*
Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., C&G, HNC/HND, IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
