Music Teacher (Primary) – Part Time
Salary: £120 + per day (aligned with teacher pay scales)
Working Days: Monday & Tuesday
About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher for a welcoming and creative primary school in Enfield. This is a part-time role (2 days per week), ideal for a passionate music specialist who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and inspiring pupils through performance, creativity and confidence.
Music is a valued part of the curriculum, supported by a dedicated music room and a wide range of instruments and resources. In addition to class teaching, the successful candidate will lead a music club involving pupils from different year groups.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach music across the school from Nursery through to Year 6
• Deliver inclusive, engaging and progressive music lessons
• Use and adapt the existing music curriculum to meet the needs of all learners
• Lead an exciting music club for pupils from a range of year groups
• Support children in developing musical skills, confidence and a love of performance
• Create a positive and motivating learning environment where all pupils can succeed
• Contribute to performances, enrichment activities and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• A genuine passion for music and inspiring children
• Experience teaching music across primary age ranges, or the confidence to adapt planning across phases
• The ability to teach musical concepts in an accessible, creative and engaging way
• Strong behaviour management and a nurturing teaching style
• Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities, including clubs and performances
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching experience
