Job Description
The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
* Managing production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.
* Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
* Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
* Maximising production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
* Using the integrated management system (Vision) effectively.
* Adhering to and promoting best practices in line with company Health, Safety, and Quality regulations.
* Completing all paperwork and systems accurately according to company procedures.
* Ensuring all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
* Strictly following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
* Liaising with agency controllers daily and providing feedback regarding agency workers.
* Attending team leader meetings.
* Assisting in training and developing new starters.
* Acting as a role model for best practices.
* Monitoring, controlling, and reducing waste.
* Participating actively in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Conducting RTW and disciplinary interviews as needed.
* Participating in the company's appraisal system.
* Driving personal development through training and work-based experience.
* Undertaking other duties reasonably within the scope and grade of the post.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working on line production and leading a team.
* Strong food production background is essential.
* Experience working on a fast-paced production line.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Strong IT skills.
