This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems to improve our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize technical solutions, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing.
* Create detailed system architectures and specifications that meet or exceed requirements.
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
* Work with external suppliers to evaluate and select components and technologies.
* Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure performance and reliability.
* Oversee prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and stakeholder presentations.
Qualifications (Required):
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in related fields.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
