About Our Client
This is a role within a respected organisation based on a historical site in the city of Oxford. There is onsite parking and the site is also close to local public transport links. Hybrid working is available (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
Job Description
3. Process and manage accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately
4. Review and verify invoices and payment requests, ensuring compliance with policies
5. Payment runs
6. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
7. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation within the system
8. Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve payment queries
9. Assist with month-end accounts payable closing activities - accruals and prepayments
10. Support the implementation of process improvements within the accounts payable function
The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
11. Demonstrable experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
12. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
13. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
14. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
15. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
16. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial matters
