We are a highly-technical engineering company based in Fareham, Hampshire. This dynamic composites manufacturing organisation produce parts for a range of industries. We work with a raft of different customers across Marine, Defence, Medical-tech, Automotive and General Industry, including supporting large engineering organisations across the country. Job description
We require a multi-skilled technician to work within our Fareham-based factory.
Tasks will include:
· Involvement in daily production and technical planning
· Preparing materials and workstations for production tasks
· Assembly and manufacturing tasks - to include multi-faceted technical tasks.
· Daily use of machinery and tooling (mills/lathes/ovens/sanding and cutting equipment)
· Painting and paint preparation tasks
· Set up and clean down of production areas
· Assisting with stock management, quality review, safety tasks etc.
· Packing and shipping
· Manual handling
Experience:
Manufacturing/Engineering experience is essential.
· Engineering/manufacturing qualifications (or comparable experience) required.
· Experience of working with composites preferred but not essential
Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications
Good numeracy skills
Strong work ethic
Motivation and willingness to learn essential
Machining and assembly work experience preferred
Would suit:

Someone with an interest in/experience of engineering – potential role for engineering early careers professional
Due to the nature of the work and the manual aspect of the tasks, physical fitness is required (ability to work on your feet for the whole shift and manual handling required).
