Overview
The LGH cardiology team encompasses the CCU, Cath Lab, non-invasive cardiology, CIED management, and cardiac rehabilitation. Our team consists of a diverse group of nurses, technicians, administrative staff, medical professionals, and allied health experts, all collaborating within a dynamic healthcare environment. As a major clinical teaching hospital, we work closely with UTAS and other institutions. Our integrated services focus on delivering exceptional healthcare, ultimately enhancing outcomes for our patients, our workforce, and the community.
The Role
We are seeking a casual, on-call Senior Cardiac Technologist to provide support during periods of unexpected leave. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic cardiac health team, with the flexibility to work as required.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Provide advanced support in CIED management, including implantation procedures and follow-up clinics.
* Operate and interpret data from cardiac diagnostic equipment and provide expert technical advice to medical teams.
* Applicants who hold or are willing to attain a relevant tertiary qualification, professional registration, and current ACLS certification will be highly regarded.

Details of appointment
Fixed term, casual, position working as required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$107,899 to $122,292 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility

In possession of or working towards the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRB) certificate or equivalent.
