About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a versatile and skilled Electrical Fabric Technician to join a well-established and growing team, working across a portfolio of commercial office buildings.
This is an ideal role for a qualified electrician who also has strong fabric maintenance experience, offering a varied workload, job security, and excellent earning potential through guaranteed overtime.
The Role
This position combines electrical maintenance with general fabric duties, making it perfect for an all-rounder who enjoys a hands‑on, multi-skilled role.
You will be responsible for maintaining both the electrical systems and the general condition of buildings, ensuring sites remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
The role covers Basingstoke and surrounding areas, with travel typically kept within a 1.5‑hour radius.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding
* Supporting general fabric maintenance (doors, fixtures, minor repairs, etc.)
* Working across commercial office environments
* Ensuring all work complies with health & safety standards
* Responding to reactive maintenance issues and completing planned works
* Delivering high‑quality service to clients on‑site
What We’re Looking For
* Fully qualified electrician (essential)
* Previous experience in a fabric or multi‑skilled maintenance role
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
* Experience working within commercial buildings
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, professional, and self‑motivated
Salary & Benefits
* Up to £45,000 salary (depending on experience)
* Guaranteed overtime available
o Saturday: Time & a Half
o Sunday: Double Time
* On‑call rota: 1 in 8
* 40‑hour working week
* Travel time policy: 30‑minute deduction each way
* Brand new company van (trade‑specific)
* Uniform provided
* 29 days holiday (including bank holidays)
o +1 additional day after 2 years
o +0.5 day accrual thereafter
* Pension with Standard Life (after 3 months)
o 3% employer / 5% employee contribution
