We are seeking a confident and inspiring teacher with exceptionally strong behaviour management skills to lead the Inclusion Room at a coeducational school local to Maidstone.
This is a vital role, supporting students who require additional support in recognising their ability to reach their maximum potential both academically and socially. You will provide structure, calm, and high expectations in the Inclusion Room – ensuring pupils remain on task, complete their work, and feel encouraged to reflect and re-engage with their education.
SEND & Inclusions Teacher responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain a calm, structured environment for students referred to the Inclusion Room
* Set high standards for behaviour and inspire pupils to complete their work
* Provide encouragement, guidance, and pastoral support for students to re-engage positively
* Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders to monitor behaviour and progress
* Adapt approaches to meet the needs of individual students, with SEN awareness ideal
SEND & Inclusions Teacher requirements:
* Strong and proven behaviour management skills essential
* Experience working in secondary school classrooms (SEN experience desirable)
* Ability to inspire and motivate challenging learners to stay focused
* Resilience, calmness, and a solutions-focused approach
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, required for immediate start
