We’re working with a welcoming primary school near Shepton Mallet that’s looking for a compassionate, reliable, and hands-on Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis. The role runs from November through to July, with the chance to make a lasting impact in a child’s learning journey.
You’ll be:
1. Supporting a pupil with additional needs in class and around the school
2. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent, nurturing support
3. Encouraging independence, confidence, and a love of learning
4. Helping create a calm, positive environment where every small step forward feels like a big win
You should have:
5. Experience working with children (SEND experience is a real plus)
6. A patient, caring approach and a good sense of humour
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. A passion for helping children achieve their best
