About the role
Are you a psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in West Drayton is offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your understanding of SEN in a real-world educational setting.
Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles
* Working with children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Encouraging emotional regulation, resilience, and independence
* Providing personal care when necessary, always with dignity and respect
* Collaborating with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support
Candidate profile
* Are eager to gain practical experience with SEN in a school setting
* Have a strong interest in child development, mental health, and inclusive education
* Are empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about making a difference
* May have previous experience in care, support work, or education (beneficial but not essential)
* Are open to learning and committed to professional development
