Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care. You will be responsible for following care plans and ensuring that the needs of each individual are met with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents or clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Follow individual care plans to ensure tailored support for each resident or client.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of those in your care.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Support residents or clients with meal preparation and feeding as required.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive clients as necessary for appointments or outings, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when needed.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.

Pay: From £12.60 per hour
