A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Bid Co-Ordinator to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Cambridge, this is a hybrid role 2-3 days per week on-site, this is initially a 6 month opportunity that could be extended. Role Purpose The Bid Coordinator / Support role is central to the success of the proposals team. You will assist in coordinating bid activities, manage documentation, liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, procurement, supply chain, finance, export compliance), ensure timelines are met, support cost/price input, and help ensure high quality bid submissions that align with customer requirements and organisational strategy. Key Responsibilities Support the end-to-end bid process: capture bid requirements, develop bid plan/timeline in coordination with Bid Manager. Collate and manage all bid documentation and inputs (technical, commercial, pricing, compliance) ensuring version control and audit trail. Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, export control, contracts) to gather content, data and approvals. Assist with cost/price modelling and input tracking (working alongside commercial/estimating team). Maintain bid trackers, dashboards and status reports for senior management. Support desktop reviews, proofreading, formatting and submission of bid packages (hard copy / electronic). Support post-submission activities: clarifications, revision management, lessons learned capture. Maintain and develop a bid library of standard material, past responses, and reusable content. Undertake any other duties as required to support the proposals and business development teams. Required Skills & Experience Professional experience (ideally 2-5 years) in bid/proposals coordination, preferably within defence, manufacturing or complex engineered systems environment. Demonstrable ability to manage multiple inputs/stakeholders and tight deadlines. Strong organisational, documentation and project-coordination skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail. Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ideally experience with proposal management systems or document control tools. Commercial awareness: some understanding of cost/price drivers, margin considerations, supply chain and manufacturing processes. Ability to interpret technical/engineering information and liaise with technical experts. An interest in defence/land systems or a technical/manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Ability to work independently, be proactive and adapt in a dynamic environment. Desirable Attributes Experience in defence or land systems industry or working with military customers. Understanding of export compliance, security classifications or controlled goods. Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and bid-management tools. Experience of working with cross-functional teams globally. Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
