The Test technician will carry out the testing of HVDC & FACTS Products in line with project deliverables and support the Test engineers and Manufacturing Manager as required.

Manufacturing Test Technician
This is a role where safety is critical in a fast-paced environment and sound decision making within the SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) framework will be required. The Technician will ensure all health and safety requirements are upheld, company policies, procedures and legal regulations are strictly followed.
They are responsible for conducting tests on products, systems, or components to ensure they meet specified performance criteria and quality standards. This role involves setting up and operating test equipment, documenting findings, reporting defects, and working closely with production teams to address quality issues.
Though previous experience in a test environment is desirable training will be provided to the right candidate.
Follow mandatory electrical safety procedures when conducting tests in line with GE Vernova policies and procedures
Prepare and calibrate test equipment and instrumentation in readiness for testing
Support customer witnessed testing
Fault analysis:
Interpret electrical drawings/schematics and failure modes to fault find
Maintain records of test procedures, results, and equipment calibration as per company policy
Carry out daily maintenance on the test equipment including the cooling plant
Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies
Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills
NVQ level 2 or equivalent in electrical safety/ electrical installation or demonstratable years of experience
Desirable: 3 + years’ experience working with electrical systems/products
Experience in a production test environment but training will be provided
Experience with automated testing systems
Can prioritise and work to deadlines without sacrificing safety and quality
The work is shift based with rotation and 5 days onsite
Overtime/weekend working may be necessary to support production
Occasional travel might be necessary to support at project sites.
