Your Role at Husqvarna UK
1. Concept design of equipment to manufacture Robotic lawnmowers.
2. Specification, Control and purchase of production equipment needed in the moulding and production processes.
3. Continuous improvement of all production equipment resulting in increased efficiency and improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
4. Justifications, Request for quotation, and Investment requests for new production equipment (capex).
5. Estimation of the product manufacture process including costs and timings.
6. Ensure all equipment has necessary documentation, and manufacturing and maintenance have all necessary training and handover.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
7. Line balancing and production layout design.
8. Safe installation of new equipment. Setting up processes.
9. Planning of equipment install and improvements to existing equipment.
10. Collaborate with production to identify and assist with efficiency improvements.
11. Working with R&D and the New Product Introduction team to ensure the new product industrialisation process is supported by engineering in terms of product costing and product build plans.
12. Support the product 'Design for manufacture' and 'Design for Automation' processes.
13. Ensure Lean manufacturing principles are adhered to.
What We’re Looking for
14. Good communicator, both verbal and written
15. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
16. The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
17. Ability to present projects to multiple stakeholders ensuring each departments requirements are met.
18. Utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques.
19. Understanding of production environment
20. Either a relevant degree, or several years experience in Engineering.
21. APQP Documentation including process flow and PFMEA.
22. Creating and maintaining process routings using time and motion studies
23. A sound knowledge of Excel; Power Point & Word
24. Good time management & planning skills
25. Understanding of ergonomics and manual handling
26. Able to work collaboratively
27. Able to demonstrate a “What can I do attitude”
28. Prepared to travel, if required
