Your new companyA global technical services organisation operating across high-hazard industries is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join its growing process safety capability. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of safety-critical projects, supporting clients across regulated industrial sectors through the delivery of pragmatic, high-quality engineering solutions.Reporting to the Process Safety Team Leader, you will lead and support technical assignments, working closely with senior colleagues to deliver compliant, innovative and commercially sound process safety solutions. You will also play an active role in developing client relationships and supporting the growth of the process safety service in both established and emerging markets.Your new roleAs a Process Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Delivering process safety consultancy services to clients across high-hazard industriesUnderstanding client needs and developing tailored, pragmatic engineering solutionsLeading technical assignments with support from senior team membersBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfactionSupporting business development through repeat work and new opportunitiesEnsuring projects are delivered to time, cost and quality expectationsProviding regular progress updates and escalating risks or issues as requiredAdapting to changing project requirements and market conditionsEnsuring compliance with internal standards, client contracts and relevant regulationsCommunicating clearly and transparently with clients, colleagues and management What you'll need to succeedEssential: At least 5 years' experience in process industries, ideally within high-hazard environmentsStrong knowledge of process safety techniques and risk management toolsExperience applying process safety methods in a consultancy or operational environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering softwareDegree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific disciplineStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent technical report-writing capability Desirable: Experience in three or more of the following areas:Hazard study leadership (HAZID / HAZOP)SIL determination using LOPAHuman factors analysisFire and explosion protection systemsProcess safety management and auditingSafety reports for COMAH and/or offshore regulatory regimesChartered Engineer status, or actively working towards Chartership What you'll get in returnExcellent basic salary (£65,000 - £85,000)Flexible and hybrid working arrangementsStructured training and professional developmentExposure to a wide range of national and international projectsLong-term career development within a technically respected organisationWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
