JOB DESCRIPTION
Housekeeper
Reporting to:
Registered Manager/ Head Housekeeper
Job Purpose:
To ensure a high standard of domestic services are carried out in resident's rooms, communal areas and other designated areas on a daily basis.
Ensure all residents clothes are laundered and ironed, and to ensure all the homes laundry items sent for washing/cleaning are maintained to a high standard (e.g. bedding, towels, furnishings and fittings)
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of residents rooms and communal areas such as bathrooms, lounges, dining rooms, offices, linen cupboards and sluice rooms.
* Maintaining the dignity, privacy and individuality of all residents whilst in their rooms
* Ensure each residents personal laundry is collected, washed, pressed and returned and put away where requested
* Ensure all other items such as bedding, towels, furnishings and fixtures are cleaned/ washed and put away in a tidy fashion where indicated
* Adhere to policy and procedures involving health and safety (self and others) e.g. COSHH
* Report any faulty and defective equipment to a senior member of staff
* Report all suspected and actual incidents in accordance with the Company Whistle Blowing policy
* Maintain confidentiality at all times, both in and out of work
* Attend all mandatory training as per Company policy, including other training as requested which is deemed relevant to the role
* Other duties as required at the direction of the Registered Manager
