Coleg Cambria is excited to recruit a Lecturer in Electronic & Electrical Engineering to deliver our Higher Education courses at our Bersham Road site. The successful candidate will deliver both practical and classroom-based learning, develop delivery and assessment material, and support learners with additional learning needs. They must have proven experience and competence within Electronic & Electrical Engineering and hold at least a Level 4 qualification, plus a Level 5 teaching qualification or be working towards one.
Responsibilities
Deliver practical and classroom-based learning to students; develop delivery and assessment material; build good working relationships with learners and staff; manage groups of learners; adopt a positive approach to challenging behaviours; be flexible to adapt to varied demands of the role.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 4 or equivalent in a professionally relevant subject matter
* A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Self‑motivated, well‑organised and able to work independently using own initiative
* Awareness of quality standards within teaching
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
