Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated ESR Workforce System Assistant to join our ESR Team during an exciting period of innovation. We are dedicated to enhancing and expanding the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system and services we provide to all staff at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.
As the primary workforce management system used across the NHS, ESR plays a pivotal role in our operations. By joining our team, you will contribute to driving positive change within the trust, helping us deliver improved services and support to all employees.
As an ESR Workforce System Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the ESR system. You will assist in managing workforce data, supporting system users, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant policies.

Main duties of the job
This role supports the management and maintenance of the ESR system, which is used to manage employee records. It is essential you have previous experience of a workforce or payroll function, good understanding and experience in the use of Microsoft 365, excellent attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency, the ability to manipulate and interrogate data to produce meaningful workforce reports and identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications
Training and Qualifications (Essential):
* Good standard of general education, (GCSE A-C or equivalent) including English and Maths.
* NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
Experience (Essential):
* Previous experience of a workforce or payroll function.
* Working knowledge of workforce information systems e.g., ESR.
Knowledge and Skills (Essential):
* Good understanding and experience in the use of Microsoft 365, with intermediate Excel skills.
* Ability to manipulate and interrogate data to produce meaningful workforce reports.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
